Macallan The Coronation Bottling. The third in a series of royal bottlings from Macallan, this magnificent collectors’ edition was created in just 1953 sets. This collection includes two sherry cask-matured whiskies, one from American wood and one from Spanish oak, and commemorates Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953, 60 years before to the release. This results in two whiskies with extremely contrasting aesthetics, one golden and one deep mahogany, each tagged with a famous coronation portrait by Cecil Beaton and a photograph by Julian Calder taken in 2004 for the Spanish oak.
